I like my doom without filtering (give me those pixels!) and my quake with the original unfiltered and uninterpolated models. On the whole, however, I don´t know why I dislike this much the original models. What I can´t really stand (and, again, I know it may seem stupid) is how disproportionated their arms are in relation to their bodies. The aliens, I think, are ok-ish (being "monsters", it doesn´t bother me the low res low polygon models), but human models (specially barneys and scientists) ugh, simply no.
